I got a new two new 36.4 Gig drives last week and tried to install it on
my AlphaServer 4100 5/533 running Digital Unix 4.0D patch Kit6. I updated
the firmware very recently. The Bios recognized it and on boot up I could
see it but when I went to the disk configuration utility to set it up the
system completely froze up. I tried several times without success. Are
these size drives supported in my Storageworks comparements under
4.0D? (We are working on moving to 4.0F next week).
Here is what the drives look like from messages on boot-up:

Any advice is appreciated.
