NIS error: slave map is empty for the domain

Hi gurus,

When I do a make on my NIS server , I am getting the following error

Map 'ypslaves.nebula.rri.local.net' is empty for domain 'rri.local.net'


Here, "nebula" is NIS server name and "rri.local.net" is my NIS domain.
What does thi mean. I hv configured NIS with two other slave servers
and it updates the map also. But the error keeps coming each time I do
a make in /var/yp.

What does this mean and how can I rectify
