f77 compiler options and static build

Hi,

I have two questions:

1. How do I compile an executable, using f77, on machine A which
happens to have all the necessary libraries, like CERNLIB for example, in
a static way so that when it can run on machine B that does not
have these libraries? (Both are running Tru64 Unix)

2. If, as in the previous question, machine A on which I compile has ev5
chips, and machine B on which I want to run it has ev6/7, are there
compiler options in f77 which allow me to optimize for the ev6/7
architecture?

Cheers,
Ed.
