what people have suggested ;
1- use rcp instead of ftp; this removes the ftp part of the script, which
makes the script easier. but I could not see any option for network usage..
2- This can be achived only by the QoS (quality of service) which is
included in new (and expensive routers ) and possibly in IPv6;Use 100 MBit
switch to connect servers. But you can get 4 times performance not 10 times
(very interesting, yes I knew there can't be 10 times but 4 times is reall
small , really I astonished). NO Comment On This.
3- Use gzip before transfer. Very easy and brilliant idea which I could not
realize. I have used some compression tools and results are ;
original file : 84 MB
gzip 21 MB ( takes ~ 2 minutes
compress 35 MB (takes ~1.5 minutes
pack 56 MB ( takes ~30 secs
so not to exhaust the CPU & memory resources for such a time,which are more
possible bottlneck than network, I didn't go that way
4- Use wuftpd : I could not see such an info on this. I have not installed
it yet.
5- Install a dedicated ethernets and a cross cable and transfer the files
over it: I could not buy equipment at these times
6- Make the arhcive files less than 80 MB size: This is an issue of our DBA
and I dont think she will do such a thing ...

I have later realized that our proruction server alpha has a ATM card which
works at 155 MBit/s . TCP/IP defined only on this card. It communicates with
the 10 MBit ethernet card. Production server automatically slows down. :) So
up to this time nobody has made any critique. I am now using the script for
each 30 minutus in cron without any network enhancement.
