You can call 1800DIGITAL to order the current ECU. This is not available
anywhere as a download as it is copyrighted software and would be illegal to
obtain any other way. It is low priced, less than $10, I believe.

As far as I know the ECU is still "encumbered", meaning Compaq can't
distribute it without paying a license fee to the company that wrote it.
You can purchase a copy of the latest version from Compaq direct or arrange
it through your local sales critter. I've also had good luck getting my
local support engineer to update my systems (under the support contract).

Micro Computer Systems, Inc.

You have to order the ECU as follows:
Compaq/Digital customers can order ECU diskettes through DECdirect at
1-800-344-4825.
Part Number: QA-01YAA-HC
This kit number is an orderable part number for those who have already
purchased hardware that included the ECU and licensing and need another copy
of the ECU.
