SUMMARY:Secure Console (firmware level) for 2100

  The answer was actually a simple one.
When you are asked for the password, simply depress the halt button
and hit enter. This clears the password. Totally un-secure, but good for me.

Thanks to all who replied, especially Curt Cranfield, who nailed it.
