TruCluster and r commands

Does a Digital UNIX 4.0F / TruCluster 1.6 require the r commands,
rsh/rcp/rlogin for proper operation?

I would like to disable these commands in /etc/inetd.conf but Compaq setup
.rhosts between all the clusters members. Will disabling the r commands
cause any problems for the cluster?
