Managers,

host A - Unix (ver 4.0d)
host B - VMS (V7.1-1H2)
testfile

hostA> rcp testfile hostB:dir:file - works ok

hostA> rcp hostB:dir:file . - command executed w/out problem/error but
no file has been transfer. It just gives me a blank results on the screen.

I searched the archived but there's no similar problem. The .rhosts and
/etc/hosts.equiv is also ok. This command works fine if I tried between two
unix host but from unix to vms it works only one way. Man pages does'nt
explicitly says that it will work the same way on unix to vms host.

Am I missing something? please can someone shed a light on this. I need to
get a confirmation first before informing my developers, my next option is
to use the ftp. dcp is out of the option as we are taking out decnet.

Thanks,
