TruCluster 5.0A and size of quorum disk

Hi,

TruCluster 5.0A with PK1 installed. I was doing a cluster that was rather tight on space. The shared disks were on a RAID controller so I created a small logical disk for use as a quorum disk.

The documentation says that only 1Mb of quorum disk is used for the 'h' partition. The man page for clu_quorum also says 1Mb. So I made my quorum disk 10Mb thinking that would be ample.

However both clu_create and clu_quorum complain when trying to use that. The output is that of disklabel. It tries to chop some partitions but as the offsets for 'g' anf 'h' are greater than the disk size it bombs and can't recover. I've tried prelabeling the quorum disk but it just ignores it.

I will try hacking the clu_quorum script next time I have access to that machine but, in the meantime, is there anybody who's come across this before? Also, if the doc says that you only need 1Mb why does it insist on lots more?

Thanks,

Marco
