Tru64 v5.0A java upgrade question.

I just brought up a new v5.0A box (with patch kit #1 applied). I see that
the default Java installation on the box is v1.1.7B-6. I would like to
upgrade that to 1.2.2-6 (or newer). In reading over the release notes on
Compaq's web site, I'm lead to believe that I should *replace* the current
version and not try to support both versions. The release notes indicate
that sharing versions is unsupported for versions prior to v1.1.8. That is
fine with me as I have no particular desire to use any prior versions.

However... I also notice that the Sysman Authentication Server (starts at
boot by default) is using java to do its thing. So I have a couple of
questions about this:

1. What is the Sysman Authentication Server? What does it do for me?

2. Will it work properly with the newer versions of Java?

3. Are there any other system services that use Java and should I worry
about them malfunctioning if I upgrade?

TIA
