Problems recognizing a new SCSI controller

Dear Managers,

I cannot get UNIX to recognize more than 2 of the SCSI controllers in my system
(an ES40 with 4.0F PK3):

1. We have the SCSI controller that is included with the ES40 which is atached
to an internal drive cage.

2. Then there are two of the Qlogic (KZPBA) SCSI controllers: one is a differential
controller for an RA7000 and the other is a single-ended for a TLZ10 tape drive.

When we install all the SCSI cards and attach the RA7000 and tape drive, a "show config"
at the SCM prompt will show all the SCSI controllers and all devices attached.

However, when UNIX is booted up, it will only show the drive cage controller and one
of the Qlogic controllers. The first time, the system could see the single ended controller
when we had it plugged into PCI slot 4 and the differential controller plugged into slot 3.

Next, the PCI cards were rearranged: the differential controller in slot 4 and the single-
ended in slot 6. That time, the RA7000 could be seen but not the tape drive.

It seemed that whatever was in slot 4 was viewed by UNIX but not the controller
in any other slot.

Any advice will be welcome. I will summarize.

Thanks,
