Memory Channel without Cluster

Can anyone point me in the right direction for some info on how to set up a
system to use memory channel ( for fast nfs communication ) without setting
the system up as a cluster. As soon as you install the trucluster sw it
suggests you run clu_create. Whereas with the older sw it prompted you to
set up the memory channel card itself.
