Good Afternoon all.....
O.K. first of all I am not too fond of UNIX.
UNIX machines always seem to give me problems.
The current problem with my DS20 is as follows.....
Prior to this morning's crash and burn,
the machine would see the second CPU
(upon boot up, the front panel would say "starting CPU 1")
at console prompt
>>> show cpu
it would show both CPU's.
After the crash.....
upon boot up,
front panel never says "Starting CPU 1"
at console prompt
>>> show CPU
only shows a single CPU
No....it is not the board....
I have switched the CPU's and both are seen in the first CPU slot,
neither are seen a the second CPU
Power is going to the board...
Voltmeter shows +5 on all.
It almost seems that something got corrupted
on the boot up file, and it is not looking for the second CPU.
Any ideas ??
