My orginal question was :
We had 4 Alpha Servers out of which one AS4100 OS Ver. 4.0e with Patch kit 4 running 100mbps
full duplex is dead slow while doing FTP from or to other servers. so we had excluded this client from
Veritas Netbackup since it is taking helllot of time. otherwise tne system is ok since it is a production
machine with 250 cuncurrent users during day time. Can anyone point out what could be going wrong.
Common Consenus was to change the System to Half duplex for a possibe mismatch of NIC and the
Hub/Switch/router it is connecting to which could be running half duplex. Changing the ew0_mode to
Fast solved the problem.
