Thanks a lot for all the feedback ...
I know I had supplied with limited info ...
Here is what I did ..
I had enabled auto negotiation on the card and suddenly I have my n/w interface showing almost 100Mb
and those who want to know the n/w fabric
it is like this
ES40 <--> Centrecom(unmanaged switch )<-->3com(managed switch) <--> Other machines
