I work for a very large environment and our standard for backups is a
product called reels which is written by Storage Tech, we also use Storage
Tech's backup silos. When I first installed reels it was working fine doing
network backups. My data has grown and thus a need for my boxes to be
directly connected to silo tape drives. These drives are dlt7000. The
problem arises after backups start. Data flows fine but after about 500m to
1g it just stops, tape times out and gets ejected and loads another to
continue or the reader backup software will die. This question mainly goes
to individuals who have storage tech on their site and have seen something
of the similar. I have made all kernel changes and even shutdown all
databases and other software that is using system resources, no luck. I am
running 4.0f and reels 4.3. I f anyone has any experience please I could
