The answer on my question is:

If you using V5, you can use the following
vdump -0f /dev/ntape/tape0_d1 /
vdump -0f /dev/ntape/tape0_d1 /usr
vdump -0f /dev/ntape/tape0_d1 /var

where
   ntape = non-rewind
   tape0 = tape device
   d1 = hardware compression
(if you were familiar with V4; /dev/ntape/tape0_d1 = /dev/nrmt0h)
