Backing up system disk

Hi, I am very new to Unix in general, and I have a question. We are running Tru64 v. 4.0f on a Compaq Alphaserver ES40. The system disk is mirrored through LSM. One of the mirrors has gone bad, and we are going to replace it. What we want to do (obviously) is back up the data on the good mirror before we mess around with anything. The question is, how do you go about backing this disk up? Normally we use Legato Networker to backup the filesystems, but I don't know if it is possible to configure it to backup a particular disk. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. (also, if you tell me how to back it up, knowing how to restore it--if necessary--would be a big help too. Thanks in advance.
