Original question below.

Thanks to Hoai TRAN, John Tan, Steven Hancock and
alan_at_nabeth.cxo.dec.com for their replies.

The problem turned out to be stupidly simple: a missing filest.
It was only used for scratch space and contained no data so
it didn't affect anything.

The error message could have been a bit more informative.

Original question:

I just transferred 1 UFS partition, swap space and an AdvFS domain
of 4 filesets from a failing system disk to a new disk. For the
AdvFS domain I did this:

made a domain called temp on the new disk.

created the necessary filesets in the temp domain.

used vdump | vrestore to copy the data into the new filesets.

It boots the new disk and everything looks good but while booting
it says:

Can't get fileset id for usr_domain
   BAD DISK NAME usr_domain

(`showfdmn usr_domain' shows the Id).

Thanks
Ian
