We are using an application called OpenInventor to build inhouse 3D
applications. We discovered the Elsa Gloria card was not capable of the high end
3D graphics or of displaying the GLX applications correclty.
Compaq provided us with a PowerStrom 300 card to demo. It works great however...
our quoted cost (from AVNET) was approximately $1550 per card. I have 58
workstations that would require the new graphics adapter.
My questions are:
1) Are there any other acceptable graphics adapters on the market we could
try/use?
2) If not, are you aware of alternate vendors that can supply the card at a
better rate?
