Thank you all for the fast responses...

default # of processes if 64... we were hitting that recently with our web
server... so I increased it to 256... should be good.

quick answer... without kernel rebuild:
add max-proc-per-user=128 (one told me to use underscores instead of
dashes...) to the /etc/sysconfigtab and reboot. Verify with

Also... for further tuning... see dxkerneltuner or sysconfigdb
I tend to do things the old fashioned way since I deal with many different
flavors of unix and dont keep the different gui tools straight unless used
all the time.

To do with rebuilding kernel:
Simply add the following line in your /usr/sys/conf/{HOSTNAME}
maxuprc {value}
Rebuild the kernel, keep a copy of /vmunix, then install the new kernel.

Thanks!
