Dear all,
we seem to have relatively serious problems compiling code with X5.3
(ECO2). Code which compiles fine under 5.2 now no longer compiles and
dies with a stack overflow (core dumped) in decfort90 which I believe
is the back-end.
Example:
f90 -c -O -cpp -tune host -I../../Debug/alphaev6 -I../../Dates/alphaev6
-I../../Error/alphaev6 -I../../Precision/alphaev6
-I../../DBAccess/alphaev6 -I../../Exceptions/alphaev6
-I../../Assert/alphaev6 DBUtil_f90.f90
Stack overflow: pid 17323, proc decfort90, addr 0xfe30, pc 0x5d92e4
Fatal error in: /usr/lib/cmplrs/fort90/decfort90 - core dumped
Signal 139 make: *** [dbutil.mod] Error 1
System: DS20E, 4.0F, PK#4.
I have checked and my X5.3 kit is the one advertised in:
http://www5.compaq.com/fortran/dfau.html
Allegedly 5.4 has been released February 2001 (i.e. now) and there is
a link to patch kits (which is what I have installed). I do have the
DTK (pre-requisite) installed and it is the latest version.
Does the old fortran90_at_compaq.com address still work for reporting
bugs?
Thanks,
Arrigo
