XP1000 SRM Console variable

Admins,

Compaq XP1000. I went into CMOS setup, Advanced, Console selection and selected
the SRM console. Turned the systems off, waited 30 seconds, turned the system on
and all I get is the blue screen.

It would appear the SRM Console variable is set to serial. Does anyone know of a
quick method to get past this without hooking up a terminal to the serial port?
