Hi All,
I have 2 XP1000's running tru64 4.0F. I instaleld
ssh-2.3.0 a while ago. I added a line to the inittab
for the deamon to start, which was:
sshdeamon:23:once:/usr/local/sbin/sshd
This worked with sshd1, but with sshd2, the ssh deamon
does not start when the machine reboots. I remember
seeing other people complain about this. Anybody have
any idea what I could do to ensure the deamon starting
everytime the machine reboots?
Also, while the sshd forks for each connection made,
some of the proceses don't die after the user
disconnects. I find that regularly, one of the ssd2's
ends up uing close to 50% of the CPU even after the
user disconnects, making jobs that run on the machine
slow. I have to manually kill this process for the job
to speed up. Anybody know what/why this happens and
what can be done about this?
This last question is not an sshd2 question, but I
find that netscape and xdvi hang the x-servers, and
the display freezes. We have PowerStorm 350's. What I
do is to remotely login as root and kill the X server
and it restarts the CDE. Occasionally this does not
work and the machine has to eb rebooted. Has anybody
seen this problem?
Thanks a lot in advance!
