SUMMARY: Weirdness after changing root disk...

Thanks to James, Alan, Samier and Tony for their suggestions.

Noone suggested the method of moving the filesystems was the wrong way to go
about, with a mention from Tony that he'd cloned disks this way before more
than once.

Anyhow, I might invest a little time in using whatever the Tru64 equivalent
of Solaris' 'truss' is (forget what the Tru64 version is called at the
moment) to see what's going on otherwise just bring forward a planned
reinstall of the client software that's giving me hassles and forget about
it.

Thanks again to all who helped.

Cheers,

Adrian
