Hi Admins,

I have a CDE login problem that results in the following dialog message
after successful display of dtgreet and dthello. The CDE screen does draw
itself
but after I click OK an xreset occurs and I loose connection.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------
The DT Messaging system could not be started

To correct the problem

1. Choose OK to return to the login screen
2. Select Failsafe Session from the login screen's option menu and login
3. Check that your hostname exists correctly in /etc/hosts if your network
has already been configured.
4. If your network has not yet been configured, make sure that the
/etc/hosts has the following entry in it: 127.0.0.1 localhost

For additional information, see the CDE User's guide
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------

This problem began after configuring NetRAIN (ee0,ee1) on and ES40 Tru64
V5.1
The IP address, netmask and broadcast address are all the same as
previuosly.
The server has been rebooted. Telnet and "Failsafe" logins both work OK.
The hosts file is OK.

C2 Enhanced security is NOT running. BIND is running and working. (as gated)
All "old" user CDE cache files and links have been deleted.
