SUMMARY: XDMCP

Ok...it seems that XDMCP broadcasts, and can't get past the firewalls/routers we have between the two networks. According to Dr. Blinn the routers/firewalls can be setup to forward the XDMCP packets. I just talked to the network boys, and they have no idea how to do this, but they said they will work on it and figure it out. I'm beginning to think that these network people are intentionally making my job a living Hell--90% of the problems we have can be traced back to them...but that's a topic for another day. And just to answer one question, I'm using a Netica TC3111-70 Pro X-Terminal, and it does limit you to connect to only the servers that responded to the broadcast.
