I have a Dec Alpha XP1000 running Digital Unix 4.0f with a Powerstorm 300
graphics card. The resolution is presently set to 1280x1024. I want to
change the resolution down to 800x600. I tried the following command:
/usr/bin/X1/X -screen0 800x600
the message I got was "stop the Xserver before initiating this command"". So
I tried the same command in the Command line mode (no Xserver running) and
rebooted. I checked the resolution by using the "xwdyinfo" command for an
Xterm. The resolution did not change.
Does anyone know how I can change the resolution to 800x600? Also is there
any other way to check the resolution. Please advice.
Thanks
Ajinkya
