Defragment and reboot

Admins,

I have been asked to write a script (ksh) that will defragment each ADVFS
domain in turn (after having closed down all applications, removed users and
inserted the /etc/nologin file). Once the defragment is complete, reboot the
servers.

System environment is ES40 Tru64 5.1 PK3, TruCluster 5.1 and StorageWorks
via HSZ70

In principle I have no difficulty in coding this but in view of the
potential risks I was wondering whether any of you could provide advice,
identify "gotchas" etc. TIA

Kind regards

Lawrie Smith
