i have not seen the summary for that, and i came to the same
problem recently, so i post the summary, before Darryl will ;-)
any way, the problem was with sshd version 3.5, i ahve no
idea why it gone crazy, because i have set it up on
the 5.0 and it worked just fine on one machine, and yet
refused to work on the other (the other one had nis enabled,
and was slightly different in configuration). ok, to the point.
sshd was writting:
