DEChub MultiStack System

The MultiStack System seems to have been a low-cost alternative to the DEChub 90 backplane. Normally DEChub 90 modules lack management features when run outside of the DEChub 90 backplane. The MultiStack system adds back these features. Due to a severe lack of power supplies I've not actually had a chance to play with this stuff - all here has come from just reading the manuals.

The individual modules are joined together in the same way as if they were being run standalone. The side 10base-2 ports are all hooked up to one network.

DETRX-M

The DETRX-M is a widget which plugs into the back of each module and uses the docking port to supply power and management abilities (not network). The DETRX itself gets power from a normal standalone power supply. On the back it has a dial for selecting the unit address and two MJ8 ports to chain modules with the widget attached together for management features.

Shelf

The MultiStack system seems to have come with a plastic "Shelf" which one module and power supply sit in. The shelf was available with rackmount brackets so you could install these things in a rack. Its part number seems to be 70-31987-01.
