A.2.3.2 インストレーション・ダイアログ

インストレーション・ダイアログでは，最初に PCSI がこれからインストールしようとしている製品名を表示します。インストレーションを継続するか問い合わせがあります。続いて，製品名，著作権情報，プロダクト・オーソライゼーション・キー(PAK)情報が表示されます。

A.2.3.2.1 GBLPAGES および CLISYMTBL の値について十分なクォータの確認

注意
CD- ROMからOpenVMSオペレーティング・システムと DECwindowsを同時にインストールする場合は，システム値のチェックを行わないでインストレーション・プロシージャが進行します。システム値チェックは，インストレーション完了後に行われれます。 ( 付録 A.2.5 項 を参照してください)。

GBLPAGES, CLISYMTBL，NPAGEDYNシステム・パラメータに十分な値が割り当てられているかどうか，インストレーション・コマンド・プロシージャでチェックされます。

システム値が十分であれば，インストレーションがそのまま進行します。値が十分でない場合，インストレーションは中止され， AUTOGEN を実行したあとに，インストレーションを再開するよう求められます。 OpenVMS Alphaシステムの場合は，次のようなメッセージが画面に表示されます。

A.2.3.2.3 プログラミング環境の保存

インストレーション中に， OSF/Motifリリース1.1.3プログラミング環境がシステムに存在するかどうかチェックされます。すでに存在する場合は次の情報が表示され， OSF/Motif リリース1.1.3プログラミング環境を保存するかどうか問い合わせがあります。 


The DECwindows Motif programming environment was installed with a 
previous version of this kit. This environment is incompatible with the 
OSF/Motif Release 1.2 environment provided with DECwindows Motif Version 
1.2-6. The XUI programming environment is also not included in 
DECwindows Motif Version 1.2-6. 
 
If you intend to continue developing programs for XUI or OSF/Motif 
Release 1.1.3, then save this environment.  Please refer to the 
installation guide for more details and information on accessing these 
files in their new location. 
 
If you do not choose to save the XUI and OSF/Motif Release 1.1.3 
programming environment, those files will be removed from the system 
disk. 
 
Save the OSF/Motif Release 1.1.3 and XUI programming environment?

Yes と応答して Return キーを押すと， OSF/Motif リリース 1.1.3 および XUIプログラミング環境が保存されます。サブディレクトリ[.DECW$113] が作成され，プログラミング環境をサポートするファイルがこのサブディレクトリに移動されます。

A.2.3.2.4 省略時のインストレーション

次に，省略時のインストレーションを希望するかどうか問い合わせがあります。以前にDECwindows Motifをインストールしていないシステムの場合は，使用しているハードウェア・プラットフォームに該当するすべてのオプションが自動的にインストールされます。以前にDECwindows Motifをインストールしているシステムの場合は，以前のインストールで選択されたすべてのオプションが自動的にインストールされます。

A.2.3.2.5 デスクトップの選択についての質問(Alphaのみ)

    Install New Desktop 
 
    The New Desktop is a graphical user interface that is derived from the 
    Common Desktop Environment (CDE).  It offers the following features not 
    available with the traditional DECwindows desktop: 
 
        o Multiple workspaces for greater flexibility in managing windows on 
          the screen. 
 
        o An icon-based File Manager to make it easier to manipulate files 
          from the graphical user interface. 
 
        o Enhanced support for the drag-and-drop feature, which is fully 
          supported in the new File Manager and Application Manager 
          applications. 
 
        o New Image Viewer and Icon Editor applications. 
 
    Both the New Desktop and the DECwindows desktop provide the same underlying 
    X and Motif libraries and the same DECterm, Bookreader, Mail, and Calendar 
    applications.

A.2.3.2.7 変換イメージのサポート

本バージョンでは，TIS (Translated Image Support) をインストールするように求めるプロンプトが表示されます。これは，VAX プログラムが DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS Alpha環境で動作できるようにするものです。 TIS サポートは，従来のDECwindows デスクトップ環境でのみ使用できます。

A.2.3.2.11 DECwindows Motifサポート・ファイルの確認

インストレーションのこの段階で， DECwindows Motifアプリケーションおよび実行時サポート・ファイルがオペレーティング・システムにインストールされていることがチェックされます (DECwindows Motifソフトウェアの実行に必要なトランスポート・ファイル，フォント・ファイルなどです)。

No (省略時の値)と応答して Returnキーを押すと，インストレーションは中止します。必要なサポート・ファイルを追加する手順については， 付録 A.5.3 項 を参照してください。必要なサポート・ファイルを追加した後，インストレーションを再開します。

Yesと応答して Returnキーを押すと，インストレーションがそのまま進行します。
