Backing up

You know you ought to do it: create backup files in case of system failure. Backup is a Windows 98 system tool that makes it easy.

Backup is used to simplify the creation of backup copies of files on your hard disk. You can save the backups on floppy disks, a tape drive, or another computer on your network. Then if your original files are damaged or lost, you can restore them from the backup copies.

When to run Backup
You should run Backup periodically to create copies of important files for use in case of file deletion or corruption. You can create the backup files in compressed form to save storage space. To run Backup just click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Backup.
