Quick Reference Guide

The Service Quick Reference Guide contains spare part numbers for field replaceable units, as well as technical and support information including memory upgrade charts to assist in the repair and up-keep of your Compaq computer. The Memory Upgrade Charts show the memory configurations for your Compaq computer

Maintenance Product Recommendation Service (MPRS)

Maintenance requirements vary significantly from one customer to another, and even within one organization from site to site. Making decisions about the particular products that are needed can become a complex and confusing task. But with Maintenance Product Recommendation Service you can get the answers you need, and it won't cost you a thing! All recommendations are at current FCO revision level.

Your customized response includes a list of:

Parts

Parts - the modules, subassemblies, and associated kits needed for on-site repair

Preventive Maintenance Parts - part that require routine replacement on a scheduled basis. For example, air filters.

Methods & Tools

Tools and Test Equipment - the most commonly used maintenance aids for both off-line and on-line diagnosis and exercising at the option level.

Hardware Documentation - associated hardcopy drawings, manuals and guides for individual options.

Maintenance Documentation Service (MDS) - maintenance documentation library on the devices services (microfiche or CD-ROM).

Diagnostics - licenses, media kits, and update services.

Please provide us with your system configuration. Our response listing can be sorted by either option or part number/category and will optimize sparing by combining redundant spares into a single requirement.

You will also need to determine the appropriate level of service required to meet your maintenance objectives. This is expressed as a percentage of expectancy that a replacement part will be in stock when a failure occurs.

Choose between:

  • 98% (A complete list of recommended parts will be provided)
  • 95% (Excludes the least used parts)
  • 90% (Minimum level recommended for on-site self-maintenance)
