North America  Compaq  Assisted Services   CAS Solutions Spares Recovery Service Description: Spares Recovery provides a complete service with sales and/or a disposition solution for ASP/SSP Partners or Enterprise Self Maintainers with inventories of excess, obsolete or non-productive spare parts. Compaq, on behalf of customer, will advertise and otherwise promote the sale of the available inventory, transact sales, administer and collect funds and, in situations where the inventory has no market value, dispose of it utilizing fully compliant and ISO 9002/14000 certified processes with full anonymity and indemnification. There are two parts to this solution. Part one is a fee based consultation to determine the viability of selling the selected parts and an estimate of what revenues would be generated. Part two is the actual sale of the parts which is contracted through a Statement of Work. Support is included for most brands of products.
