Loopback mounting in tru64, 4.0E

As far as I recall, loopback mounting should be available without having
to modify the kernel in 4.0E (please correct me if I'm wrong). I know
that in 3.2c you had to put a line in /etc/sysconfigtab and reboot to
accomplish this. It seems that filesystems on some of our servers mount
using regular NFS instead of using the loopback interface (still 4.0E,
ASE 1.5). Anyone able to enlighten me on this ?
