SUMMARY: Making 4.0f see a quad card...

As was pointed out to me by a great many people, I had not explicitly mentioned that I had booted with genvmunix to do the recompilation of the kernel. It turned out that the problem also had to do with a slot contention with one of the ethernet cards, but this is also a necessary step.
