[SUMMARY] Tape drive curiosity

        Thank you all for the replies (Sorry, too many of you to mention
individually).

        Yes, the tape drive was there under /dev/rmt0? and /dev/nrmt0? I didn't
know where to look for it.

        In case anyone has a similar problem and can't see it at all, by removing
all references to rmt and nrmt then running the command "MAKEDEV tz?" (tz?
is your tape device) it will recreate the devices.
