On 4.0D libpsres.so is installed in /usr/shlib as part of OSFX11425, "Basic X
environment". A quick peek suggests strongly that it is part of the DPS "Display
Post Script" system, something to manipulate PostScript resources. (?)
Since Adobe announced a couple of years ago they weren't supporting DPS anymore,
the major Unix vendors including Compaq had to retire it. Thus 5.x doesn't
include this stuff anymore. Copying the shared library from a 4.0D system may
help you a little, unless the application actually tries to use it, in which
case you may have trouble unless your X supports DPS....
From Peter...
This lib (along with libpsres.a, libdps.{a,so} and libdpstk.{a,so}) are
no longer in the OSFX11xxx and OSFXLIBAxxx subsets (?). To solve this
problem (and some others), I simply copied those libraries from a
Tru64 V4.0E system to my V4.0F system and everything seems to work.
From Nix...
It could be one of the old Motif libraries. You could try installing
Motif 1.1 support. It is one of the options on initial installation.
Just put your T64 installation CD into the drive, mount it and go to
./ALPHA/... dir and run "setld".
