Hi,

Sorry for the delay. I was away from the country and could not summarize it,
sooner.

Most of replies pointed me to URL on COMPAQ site.

http://www.tru64unix.compaq.com/faqs/publications/internet/TITLE.HTM
and Apache site
http://www.apache.org/docs/misc/perf.html#DEC

Also suggetion was made to increase RAM, which I did. I purchased additional
256MB.
and remove unnecessary daemons like nfs, insightd etc...

I might upgrade to 5.0. I read that there is performance improvement for
ADVFS.

I still do not understand, why COMPAQ has the option (IASS) to tune the
system for Internet. Choosing all recommended settings degrades the system
performance. I guess no easy way to tune the live system.

I would like to thank all for quick reply

Ziggy
