Hello SysAdms,
Problem: iostat and uaio (a University of Alaska version) do not display all
configured disks. Only first four devices are displayed.
Detail: I run "iostat rz19" and get only four columns reporting the first
four disks on that target. Disks are inside ESA10000 cabinet
behind HSZ70 controllers. OS is Tru64 4.0F with Patch Kit 4. I
have six disks configured on six LUNs of the same target 3 of
bus 2 - rz19 through rzf19. Only rz19 through rzd19 are reported
by iostat.
Note: While there is a "collect" utility which can query all six disks, I
have a specific need to be able to use the "iostat" command to
collect disk stats. COMPAQ Tech Support suggested that I need
to add all non-LUN-0 disks to the configuration file and rebuild
kernel in order for iostat to report on non-LUN-0 disks. But,
iostat currently reports on, at least, three non-LUN-0 devices
and I do not have any of these defined in the kernel configuration
file.
Your thoughts would be very much appreciated.
Thank you,
