Remote mount of NTFS file system

Hi managers,
                Tru 64 4.0D
                Alpha 3000/400
TZ88 DLT drive on Turbo channel card.

I have a NT user with about 40GB disk space which I need to get
backed up. I wanted to try and remotely mount the users FS on the
Alpha and use the Alpha's DLT drive to back up the remote FS.
Would that be possible? The NT users has NTFS and FAT16 FS.
Can 4.0D mount other file systems? If so, what is the syntax for
the command? I have tried
mount -t nfs computernane:/drive /mountpoint and
mount -t nfs \\computername:.drive /mountpoint
both have given me the error
NFS Portmap: RPC Port mapper failure _ RPC: Timed out.
Which seems to suggest that it is not possible.

Ideally I am looking for a solution other than buying a new DLT drive
exclusively for this one NT machine.
Thanx
Dp.
