Can I break a mirror without getting cut?

Hi Admins,

I want to "break" a set of mirrored plexes in order to use the disk space on
the two plexes as individual volumes.
Can I do that without a negative impact to the existing data on the volume?

Background:

AS4100 box running Tru64 v4.0G patch 1 and using LSM to create plexes and
stripes.

I have created a disk group ORACLEDG which contains 6 18GB DS-RZ1ED-VW
drives.

This is currently a Volume named ORACLE on mount point /u03 made up of two
plexes,

Those plexes (oracle-01 & oracle-02) are configured as two strip sets of
three disks each.

The goal is to un-mirror the two plexes, remove the drives in oracle-02 plex
from the ORACLEDG disk group, create yet another disk group named TESTDG,
add them to that disk group and make a new volume (TEST) to mount at /u06.

The end result needs to be that I can still access the data on the existing
volume ORACLE (disk group ORACLEDG, plex oracle-01) as well as have data on
the new volume TEST (new disk group TESTDG, plex test-01) which is comprised
of the drives from the former oracle-02 plex.
