Menu:
Talk is a simple chat utility. And a weird one at that - what you type into the top box appears in the bottom box at the other end and vice versa. The application sends indivudal keystrokes rather than complete message so deleting the text from your end also deletes it from the other end. I also had to have hosts file entires for both machines on both machines for it to work at all.
The main window. For the host name to show up properly (win311) I had to add some hosts file entries.
Lets "call" another machine - one running Windows 3.1.
Calling...
And this is what the incoming call looks like on the other Windows 3.1 machine.
Connected!
On the first computer, win311, I've typed a message.
And the message appears as I type it on the second computer, win31. No need to press enter to send the message. The application seems to be simply sending keystrokes rather than messages. Deleting your message also deletes it from the other computer. Pretty weird.
The file menu.
Options menu. This only appeared on the Windows 3.1 machine - the Windows 3.11 machine doesn't have it. Not sure why but the menu item is disabled.
