Menu:
It can be handy to copy the client install files onto the server. The netware install utility has an option to so.
Mount the CDROM (cd mount nw411 for NetWare 4.11) if it isn't already mounted and load the install utility
Go down to Product options
And go up to to the Other Installation Items/Products menu then down to Install NetWare Client for Mac OS:
You'll be asked to confirm the install source. This should already be correct
Files copy quickly
And then a dedicated install program runs!
Here are the options:
I've chosen the Easy Install option which gives a summary of what will be done. I don't have any volumes listed as getting the Macintosh name space added because I've already added it to SYS. The Esc key closes the summary
Proceed!

Done! You can quit install.nlm now. If later you want to get back into that mac client installer later to, eg, rename your volumes for Mac OS users, then from this screen select View/Configure/Remove installed products,
and select NWCMAC
