Enjoying audio and video on the Web

When you're browsing the Web you might find invitations to click a video or audio file--especially on Web pages belonging to news or media organizations.  Microsoft® Windows® Media Player is what enables you to open and play them in Windows 98.  When you click the file on the Web page, a small window opens and the video or audio clip runs.  In order to hear sound, you need a sound card installed and you need to have speakers connected to your computer.

You can use Media Player to play audio, video, or animation files, and to control the settings for multimedia hardware devices such as speakers.

The MSN Web Events site contains a variety of media files you can try out.
