I'm completely stumped.
We have a new DS20E running Tru64 UNIX version 5.1. The problem
I'm having is that it (and only it) can't print to an Apple Laserwriter
16/600 PS.
The printer is set up to accept TCP/IP lpr jobs. In fact, all of
our other machines (a few Macs, handful of Windoze machines, Linux
boxen, and an old Digital Personal Workstation 433au running Digital
UNIX 4.0D) can all print thru TCP/IP. However, the DS20E can't.
We also have a couple of other printers (HP LaserJet 4 and a 2100TN)
also set up for TCP/IP printing, and the DS20E can print to them
just fine.
It's only the Apple LaserWriter that the DS20E can't print to.
I've tried looking a the Tru64 documentation and documentation on the
Apple side, but for the life of me, I can't seem to figure this one
out.
The DS20E can see the printer, and for that matter, the print's
activity light blinks a few times whenever I send over a print job,
but the blinking soon stops and nothing pops out.
WAH. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it. Many
thanx in advance.
