     Description:
System   SGI Indy 5000   Drives   36GB Harddisc
    Processor   R5000PC at 150MHz   Graphics   XL24
    Memory   192MB   Other   IndyCam

This is my central NIS and SAMBA server - the advantage of an Indy over other SGIs is the low noise level. And the advantage of an Indy over a PC based server is that it runs headless without any problems. I even don't need to plug in mouse or keyboard for booting. Plus I can shut down the Indy simply by pressing the power button.

Have a look at this page for general information on the SGI Indy.
